Tip 1 is plan out how to use as much as possible of the sheet so that there w/b less? waste since the price of the sheets can add up quickly.
Tip 2. Save your cutting hand. Take the paper off cling side b/f cutting. I found this out 1/2 way through my change over. I actually had cut so many stamps out that I could not feel the tip of my index finger which was scary. The cling can always be cleaned with a damp paper towel.

I pulled the rubber images off the original block & cushion as best as possible. Then I worked the goo gone with a paper towel. Be sure that you? don't soak your hands in that liquid. I was considering stamping them with Stayz On ink onto a transparency. Then, sticking them to the transparency and putting it into a page protector to keep them from falling out of my binder. I adapted it from what is done with clear stamps, but wasn't sure if it'd work for the rubber ones with the foam. Do you think this method would work? Thanks! :)

Over a number of years? this could cause your stamps to deteriorate. Depends how long you keep your stamps and how long you store them in this way. Just an archival issue really.

And to? use tongs or not - post-1950 prefered but really,...not much difference unless it is a rare variety or error. Post 1950 - leave a fingerprint on the glue and there goes a premium (or at least I will mention it and look mfor discount). And then there are those stamps that should ALWAYS be EXPERTLY handled with tongs,....and I am sure you know what I mean! IMHO
