I had never seen the paddles you were using... wish I'd had those - I've put needles through my finger a few times and the paddles would? have made that a whole less likely!

I've tried free embroidery with? my machine using that foot but quite often it won't sew at all. The needle punches through the fabric but doesn't seem to pick up the bobbin thread. Have you had this problem? I can't work out what I'm doing wrong!

You can purchase weaver's cloth by the yard and it? is much cheaper to do it that way than to buy those precut packages. If you have a Joann's Fabric you can sign up for their flyer and get a coupon for 40%. I will give a few options a try this weekend and see if I can figure out why it won't work and let you know!
