Place the organza fabric in a small hoop, and embroider the rose or roses. Once complete, cut out a square of fabric and stitch it or glue it onto the paper. I am busy writing a new book on Romantic Roses where I will show many new ideas for roses :)) Enjoy your weekend.

By: DivanNiekerk. on 19 Jul 10, 07:01:02 @vickvicki Hi Yes, you can use any kind of fabric that allows the needle to pass through it :)) If the fabric has a very tight weave and it is difficult to pull the needle through, use a spare chenille needle (thick, size 18 chenille needle) or an awl, to first make a hole in the fabric, before you make the stitch. Enjoy!

Any fabric will work, the needles are chenille 22 for 4mm silk ribbon.

@Angela55ish When making roses for paper crafts, I would stitch onto a sheer fabric such as organza. Place the organza fabric in a small hoop, and embroider the rose or roses. Once complete, cut out a square of fabric and stitch it or glue it onto the paper. I am busy writing a new book on Romantic Roses where I will show many new ideas for roses :)) Enjoy your weekend.
